02/11 ~ Love is Alive
Greater Vancouver Zoo – PRESS RELEASE
Date: February 11, 2011
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LOVE IS ALIVE AT THE GREATER VANCOUVER ZOO
Aldergrove – Love is definitely in the air this weekend and at the Greater Vancouver Zoo it is no different! So you think you know everything about love…well the “Love Bus Tours” are back by popular demand and operate February 12 – 14. You just might learn some light-hearted facts about our animals and of their various mating habits.
Please keep in mind that this tour does come with a “PG Rating” – as some of the information and vocabulary may not be appropriate for children. You must register at the front admission, so don’t miss out…as it books up quickly!
Chocolates are a big favorite of humans on Valentine’s Day, although our animals have different ideas. Special Valentine’s Day Enrichment treats will be given to our monkey’s and wolves on February 12 – 14 at 1 pm and 2:30 pm. Enrichment is a wonderful way to promote the animal’s natural behaviors and keep them mentally stimulated, while providing them with an opportunity to play.
All activities for the weekend will be posted on our “Welcome Board” upon arrival and are included with admission.
Happy Valentine’s Day from everyone at the Greater Vancouver Zoo!
