8 YEARS IN SUPPORT OF JUVENILE DIABETES AT THE ZOO

Aldergrove – Since 2001 the Greater Vancouver Zoo has been honored to host the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising event for the Fraser Valley.  Last year alone we welcomed over 3,000 people to a complimentary visit to the Zoo, in hopes that their fundraising efforts will help find a cure for Juvenile Diabetes.

Tomorrow June 14th the registration begins at noon and the walk officially starts at 2 pm. Their will be lunch, refreshments and entertainment provided for the whole family; compliments of the many wonderful sponsors of the TELUS WALK to Cure Diabetes.
The annual TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes unites communities across Canada to help find a cure for diabetes. The TELUS Walk is a fun way for families, friends and the corporate community to get involved and help make a difference in the lives of over 240,000 Canadians living with type 1diabetes. Last year, the 2008 TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes brought together over 45,000 Canadians and raised over $8 million!
The Greater Vancouver Zoo applauds the great work that the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation are doing and appreciates everyone that comes out in support of finding the cure!
