ANIMAL WISHLIST
We are always looking for ways to enhance the lives of our animals here at the Greater Vancouver Zoo and by donating any of the following items, you will definitely help treat our treasured members of our family:
- blankets (good condition, as needed)
- large appliance boxes
- pvc pipes
- cotton or hemp rope
- barrels
- large cardboard tubes (i.e. carpet tubes)
- large cardboard boxes (i.e. appliance boxes)
- horse blankets for the minature horses * big demand for the rainy off-season (water-proof type the better)
- perfume
- medium and large brushes
- parrot toys, including small mirrors * big demand as parrots are inside for the off-season
- sheets
- push brooms
- towels (hand and bath size)
- ice maker machine
- burlap material or bags
- spices & extracts for scent enrichment
- heavy chains
- wood blocks for making toys
- bamboo live or cut trees
In addition to the above enrichment items, we are always in need of the following:
- aquariums
- box fans
- electric golf carts or gem carts
- 6' ladders
- 8' ladders
- lawn & garden cart
- shop vacuums
- tool kits
- crates or kennels (any size)
- digital camcorder and/or camera
- DVD Player
- rubbermaid storage sheds
- electric dryer
- forklift
